Use cases
Write case notes on account activity with account numbers swapped for placeholders.
Hushbridge checks card numbers, routing numbers and IBANs against their checksums, and swaps them on your device before the AI writes the note.

The task
A customer disputes a charge. You need a neutral case note for the file and a list of documents to request. The facts are spread across an account screen and a phone call.
The AI needs the amount, the merchant type and what the customer says happened. It does not need the card number or the account number. Placeholders let the note refer to each account clearly while the real numbers stay with you.
Before and after
We ran a fictional dispute through the Hushbridge engine with its finance profile. The card number and IBAN are published test values. The routing number is in the real ABA format and passes the checksum, and is not tied to the fictional person. The right column is the engine’s real output, unedited.
Fictional example
What you start with
Account holder: Renata Solberg Email: renata.solberg@example.com Routing number: 021000021 Account number: 000123456789 Card: 4111 1111 1111 1111 IBAN: GB82 WEST 1234 5698 7654 32 She disputes a charge of $2,340 from a furniture retailer on 3 March and says the delivery never arrived. Write a neutral case note for the disputes file and list the documents we should request.
What the AI receives
Account holder: [PERSON_1] Email: [EMAIL_1] Routing number: [ROUTING_NUMBER_1] Account number: [BANK_ACCOUNT_1] Card: [CREDIT_CARD_1] IBAN: [IBAN_1] She disputes a charge of $2,340 from a furniture retailer on 3 March and says the delivery never arrived. Write a neutral case note for the disputes file and list the documents we should request.

Restoring the placeholders on the device gave back the original text exactly in this run.
What you review before sending
- 1Check every number. Amounts, dates and merchant names stay in the text. In the example, "$2,340" and "3 March" are still visible.
- 2Look for partial numbers such as "card ending 1111". A last-four string is not swapped on its own.
- 3Check account numbers that appear without a label. A bare string of digits needs a keyword such as "account number" before it is found.
- 4Look for employer names, merchant names and branch locations that could identify the customer.
- 5Read the restored note before it goes into the file. Confirm each number came back in the right place.
Limits
- Detection uses rules, checksums and name lists. It has no language model. A name with no cue, such as a title, a role or a label, can be missed. Add names you know matter to your always-protect list.
- Bank account numbers are found after an account keyword. A long number with no label can be left in place.
- Dates are swapped only when they are dates of birth, unless you use the healthcare profile.
- Hushbridge reduces what reaches the AI. Your firm’s rules on customer data still apply to the protected text and to the answer.
- The browser extension does not scan attachments. Paste the text you want help with into the prompt, and review it there.
- A chat site's page can read text while you type it, before anything is swapped. For sensitive work, prepare the text in the free check first, then paste the protected version into the chat.
- Review before sending stays necessary. Hushbridge shows you what the AI will get. You decide whether it is safe to send.
Try it
The free check opens with a finance example. It runs in your browser and sends no text to an AI model.
