Use cases

Summarize documents after the names and addresses are swapped out.

Paste the text of a memo or report. Hushbridge swaps the people, places and contact details. The summary comes back with the real values restored.

The task

You have a long document and need the main points fast. It might be a memo, a meeting note or a report. You want five clear bullets you can forward or act on.

A good summary depends on who said what and what they decided. Placeholders keep that structure. The AI can still say that [PERSON_1] recommends a shorter term, and you read the real name once the summary is back on your screen.

Before and after

We ran a fictional memo excerpt through the Hushbridge engine with its general profile. The right column is the engine’s real output, unedited.

What you review before sending

  1. 1Check the header lines. From, To and Re lines often hold names and subjects that identify the document.
  2. 2Look for first names used alone later in the text. In the example, "Daniel" became [PERSON_1_FIRST], linked to the full name.
  3. 3Read the numbers. Rents, percentages and totals stay in the text, and some are sensitive on their own.
  4. 4Check job titles next to names. A title such as Operations Director can identify a person in a small company.
  5. 5Scan for project names and internal code words. Add them to your always-protect list.
  6. 6If the text came from a PDF or a scan, check that the copy is complete before you protect it.

Limits

  • Detection uses rules, checksums and name lists. It has no language model. A name with no cue, such as a title, a role or a label, can be missed. Add names you know matter to your always-protect list.
  • Context can still identify people. A role, a site and a deal term together may point to one company or person.
  • The browser extension does not scan attachments. Copy the document text into the prompt, then review what will be shared.
  • A chat site's page can read text while you type it, before anything is swapped. For sensitive work, prepare the text in the free check first, then paste the protected version into the chat.
  • Addresses are found in US style only. Dates are swapped only when they are dates of birth, unless you use the healthcare profile.
  • Review before sending stays necessary. Hushbridge shows you what the AI will get. You decide whether it is safe to send.

Try it

The free check runs in your browser and sends no text to an AI model. Paste a paragraph from your own document and see what would be swapped.
